Before you meet

• Keep conversations in CoffeeNow until you feel comfortable.
• Never send money or share passwords, verification codes, financial information, or sensitive documents.
• Look for a photo-verified profile, but remember verification does not guarantee someone’s identity, intentions, or safety.
• Tell a trusted person where you are going, who you are meeting, and when you expect to return.

Meet only in public

• Choose a busy, well-lit café and arrange your own transportation.
• Do not meet at a home, hotel room, or isolated place.
• Keep your phone charged and your belongings with you.
• Do not leave food or drinks unattended. Limit anything that could affect your judgment.

Trust yourself

You never owe anyone a meeting, explanation, or second chance. Cancel or leave whenever something feels wrong. Being polite is less important than being safe.

Report and block

Use the Report and Block buttons in a CoffeeNow chat if someone is abusive, deceptive, threatening, sexually inappropriate, asks for money, or breaks our guidelines. Blocking stops direct contact. Reports help administrators review safety concerns.

Protect your privacy

CoffeeNow uses approximate location to find nearby people and does not display your exact live location. Still, avoid sharing your home address, workplace schedule, or other identifying details with someone you have not come to trust.
